Personal Care

Any non-medical services provided by a caregiver can be considered personal care services. The activities associated with these services are called ADLs or Activities of Daily Living. These activities can include:

  • Bathing
  • Grooming
  • Dressing
  • Light housekeeping
  • Linen changing
  • Meal prep
  • Medication reminders
  • Transportation
  • Physical assistance
  • Managing appointments

At Grand Oaks, our caregivers provide personal care services to residents based on the resident’s required level of care. Levels of care are determined through functional assessments of resident ADLs. More information on levels of care can be found on our Costs FAQ page.
