Long Term Care

Long-term care can be a variety of medical and non-medical services and daily tasks. Medical services associated with long-term care are considered skilled nursing or skilled therapy and are provided by an RN, LPN, or skilled therapist. VNA of Florida can provide these services in the comfort of the client’s home for extended periods of time, up to 24 hours a day and up to seven days a week.

Non-medical personal care services provided as a part of long-term care can include:

  • Bathing
  • Grooming
  • Dressing
  • Light housekeeping
  • Linen changing
  • Meal prep
  • Medication reminders
  • Transportation
  • Grocery shopping
  • Managing appointments

Skilled nursing or skilled therapy services provided as a part of long term care can include:

  • Wound care
  • Administering and monitoring medications
  • Physical therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Occupational therapy
