Grand Oaks Celebrates the Season

Posted on December 30, 2016 · Posted in Grand Oaks

The holiday season has come and gone. Many of us are experiencing the post-holiday blues, while others are breathing a sigh of relief. No matter how you may feel about the holidays, there’s no doubt the season ushers in an air of enchantment, joy, and selflessness.

This time of year is about generosity. It’s about spending countless hours searching for gifts that will perfectly express your understanding of another person. It’s about connection, using physical objects to convey that ever-present, instinctive feeling we all share—love.

Our holiday season here at Grand Oaks was all of these things. There are many, many people who contribute to the success of our communities, and while we are grateful for these people year-round, the holiday season is a wonderful time to show just how much we care. We expressed our appreciation for our employees, residents, and families of residents with a holiday party held at each of our three Grand Oaks communities.

Children of employees and the grandchildren of residents in attendance at the party received a gift from Santa Claus himself! Santa called each child up by name and they approached him with expressions of pure wonder as they received a special gift just for them. It was a magical moment to see them open their presents, overjoyed that Santa had remembered to bring a gift for each and every one of them.

In addition to our Christmas celebrations, we held a ceremony to celebrate Hanukkah for our residents of the Jewish faith. Rabbi Durbin from Temple Beit HaYam in Stuart visited our community along with several others from the Temple to observe Hanukkah with our residents.

We had such a wonderful time at all of our holiday celebrations this season and were so pleased to have had the opportunity to spend quality time with our employees and residents. We loved being able to connect with the people who help make our communities the warm, welcoming places they are today.

Thank you for being a part of our Grand Oaks family!
